Largest FDI by An Indian Pvt Co. in Bhutan: Reliance Power to Develop Large-Scale Solar & Hydro Power Projects

Anil Ambani’s Reliance Energy has partnered with the Authorities of Bhutan to develop large-scale photo voltaic and hydro energy tasks. This collaboration is a part of Bhutan’s efforts to attain its net-zero objectives and improve its renewable power infrastructure.

This partnership represents the biggest FDI by an Indian firm in Bhutan’s renewable power sector. The tasks will help Bhutan’s objective of sustainable improvement and clear power manufacturing.

The funding by Reliance Energy in partnership with the Authorities of Bhutan for the event of photo voltaic and hydro energy tasks is as much as $1 billion.

Reliance Energy Ltd. and Druk Holding will co-develop the 770-MW Chamkharchhu-1 Hydro Mission, which is classed as a run-of-the-river challenge underneath a concession mannequin aligned with Bhutan’s insurance policies.

Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) is the industrial arm of the Royal Authorities of Bhutan, established in 2007. Key Initiatives:
